10 Reasons Why Saying I Love You Just Isn’t Enough: Day 9

9. Send A Text: If you love someone, you know how hard it is to go through a whole day without hearing from them. The anticipation of seeing them kills you. The need to hear their voice pulls at you. So how do you handle it? Send a text or email, heck even pick up the phone and call them. This keeps the relationship spicy. It doesn’t have to be a long drawn out email or text, something as simple as “I miss you or I’m thinking of you” will do. When you love a person, there are things you should do to keep your partner wanting more of you. Letting them know that they are on your mind, shows them that even on your busiest days, they are never to busy for you.

Sending text messages throughout the day lets you get creative with expressing your love and thoughts. Try using some of the emojis on your phone. This puts a fun spin on your love so you that even when you aren’t in each other’s presence, you can still have fun and enjoy one another’s laugh or smile.

Some people will argue that text messaging isn’t enough or just isn’t an effective communication tactic. I disagree. For those of us that work a lot or are always on the go, you aren’t always in a position to talk on the phone when your significant other comes to mind. In those situations, what are you going to do? Wait until the meeting is over? Or are you going to hold up the line at the grocery store while you finish your conversation on the phone. Let’s be honest, a lot of stores these days make you finish your conversation on the phone before you even get in the line (not that many of us heed that rule). If you’re multi-tasker like me, then texting is perfect for you. This isn’t to say that you can’t pick up the phone and call, if you’re in a position to call, then by all means do so. Communication is key in any relationship, no matter what form it comes in. Email, text, phone call, telegram, fax, whatever form you use, just let the person you love know that they are on your mind.
